Evony is Suing Bruce Everiss for Telling the Truth

Evony, the game that’s caused a lot of controversy lately has sunk to a new low. From the initial Coding Horror article, where Jeff Atwood said:
Evony, thanks for showing us what it means to take advertising on the internet to the absolute rock bottom … then dig a sub-basement under that, and keep on digging until you reach the white-hot molten core of the Earth. I’ve always wondered what that would be like. I guess now I know.
Evony has broken through the mantle and is reaching the core of the Earth. In a cowardly and pathetic display of stupidity, those simpering fops at Evony are suing Bruce Everiss for his series of articles that blasts Evony’s marketing campaign. For those of you who don’t know, Bruce Everiss at Bruce on Games is a veteran gaming marketer, a prolific blogger and someone who’s diligent with his research and analysis.

All of these articles are spot on, informative and every single accusation has been backed up with supporting evidence. Yet Evony, who’s spammed this blog and many like it, has the temerity to deny any attempt at spamming Bruce’s comments. They’re trying to present themselves as the frail victims, being persecuted by a man who writes for his own blog. Poor poor Evony. Your fortress built on mountains of gold farming cash doesn not give you the right to sue someone for writing his opinions.
Despite the fact that I hated your ripped off game, I thought your marketing was stupid and juvenile, there was a part of me that actually admired the technical skill your media campaign showed.
You changed hosting domains to get past voluntary domain blocking, your creatives evolved over time, you had a fantastic reach across the internet’s gaming media sites and I’m sure Google loved the buckets of cash you delivered to them on a daily basis. But my technical admiration of your campaign doesn’t change the fact that your game sucks. Your ads are deceptive. Your game charges people to chat. You don’t return ANY money to your users who have filed complaints and you immediately delete negative threads on your official forums. All of these things are demonstrable facts.
Dear Evony, have you ever heard of the Streisand Effect?
Your feelings were hurt when a bunch of internet marketers, gaming enthusiasts and bloggers made fun of your little game? Welcome to the internet. As always, stay classy Evony.

They bombarded our blogs with spams and they have already take over the ad spaces everywhere in the interweb, now are they pushing for world domination?
