A tried and true gamer from the days when you used a triangle to shoot polygons I have had the fortune of watching videogames grow from “that stuff the kids are playing” to a billion dollar industry that has become a viable and sustainable form of entertainment for all ages. Knowing from an early age that I wanted to be a writer, I have spent my entire career involved in some form of communication whether that was working for magazines and newspapers, writing and producing material for morning radio and late night talk shows or writing content for corporations like Office Depot and Blue Cross.

This well-rounded and diverse background of writing experience afforded me the luxury of being able to write about anything and everything. So when the opportunity first came about to write about videogames, I seized it immediately. It started simple enough, I wrote news and reviews for a site based in Canada, Evergeek media. Eventually that spawned into writing for sometimes three to four sites at a time, working with developers and publishers and becoming ingrained into the industry side of videogames, gaining insight and valuable knowledge along the way.

In addition to my burgeoning writing career in videogames, in my professional career I became more and more involved in marketing, web content, and internet marketing. And of course as all this was taking place, we in the gamer community watched as the technology and the games became better and better. It has and continues to be an exciting time in the world of videogames. Eventually being able to combine my knowledge in marketing and web content with my knowledge and passion for videogames led me to Set on Stun. Additionally the chance to work with J.P. again (we worked together before) could not be missed. Our combined knowledge of the industy, passion for gaming and overall geekiness is what allows to create the content and unique perspective we hope to acheive with this site.
